Hello everyone,
I'm working on a high-performance computing (HPC) project and am looking for ways to optimize cloud storage. Given that HPC workloads often require fast data access and large-scale cloud storage, I’m curious about strategies or best practices to improve performance in the cloud.
Here are a few aspects I'm considering:
Data Tiering: Using multi-tiered storage solutions to balance performance and cost. Should I rely on a combination of SSDs for high-speed access and object storage for large datasets?
Network Optimization: How important is optimizing network throughput between storage and compute resources? Should I explore dedicated high-speed network options, such as direct connections or high-bandwidth VPNs?
Caching: Is caching an effective way to boost performance for frequently accessed data in cloud storage?
Any recommendations on tools, services, or configurations that have worked well for others in the HPC cloud environment would be greatly appreciated!
