SASSA Status: Checking Your Grant

SASSA Status refers to the current state of your South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) grant application or payment. It indicates whether your application has been approved, declined, or is still under processing.

Ways to Check Your SASSA Status

There are several methods to check your SASSA status:

1. Online:

   • Visit the SASSA website: https://sassacheckup.co.za/

   • Enter your ID number and cell phone number.

   • Click "Submit" to view your application status.

2. USSD:

   • Dial 1203210# on your mobile phone.

   • Follow the prompts to check your grant status.

3. SMS:

   • Type "SASSA [your ID number]" and send it to 082 046 8553.

   • You will receive an SMS with your application status.

Note: These methods primarily apply to the SRD R350 grant. For other SASSA grants, you might need to visit a SASSA office.
